Rebecca Marie Komorech and Elliott James Swoboda were united in marriage June 16, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Mike Shupert performed the ceremony. Pianist and soloist was Tim DePriest of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Donna Komorech of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Stuart and Kathy Swoboda of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Tasha Kelley of St. Louis. Matron of honor was Magin Chapman of Cape Girardeau. Heidi Komorech of Lebanon, Ill., sister-in-law of the bride, was bridesmaid. Abby Shupert of Cape Girardeau was junior bridesmaid.
The best men were Ben Swoboda of Madison, Wis., and Nick Swoboda of Cape Girardeau. Jeff Chapman of Cape Girardeau was groomsman. Ushers were Chris Komorech of Lebanon and Matt Komorech of Cape Girardeau, brothers of the bride.
Flower girls were Kyannah Komorech, niece of the bride, and Macy Green. Kyannah is the daughter of Chris and Heidi Komorech. Macy is the daughter of James and Christina Green of Cape Girardeau.
Guest book attendant was Dani Pritchett of Memphis, Tenn.
A dinner and dance reception was held at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Mrs. Swoboda is a graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a human resources hiring assistant with Midamerica Hotels Corp.
The groom is a graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in social work from Southeast. He is working with state of Missouri Children's Division.
The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
