BENTON, Mo. -- Carissa Renee Klipfel and Amos Logan Helms were married Oct. 18, 2014, at St. Denis Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Casteel performed the ceremony. Organist was Angela Klueppel of Benton. Vocalists were Jim Simmons of Benton and Kari Bickings of Oran, Missouri.
Parents of the couple are Rick and Cheri Klipfel of Benton, and Chris and Pam Helms of Sikeston, Missouri.
Matron of honor was Cara Dirnberger of Oran, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jenny Estes of Scott City, Danielle Dock of New Hamburg, Missouri, Kimberly Seyer of Benton, cousins of the bride; and Ellen Lovett of Benton. Junior bridesmaid was Emily Hairston of Sikeston, niece of the groom.
Jacob Murphy of Sikeston, cousin of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Dirnberger of Oran, brother-in-law of the bride; Evan Masters, Blake Wadlington and Stosh Lovett, all of Benton. Junior groomsman was Jordan Hairston of Sikeston, nephew of the groom. Ushers were Sean Klipfel of Benton, cousin of the bride, and Matt Holifield of Sikeston.
Candlelighters were LeShae Hann of Cape Girardeau and Kylie Murphy of Sikeston, cousin of the groom.
Flower girls were Berkley Dirnberger, niece of the bride, and Holly Hairston, niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Jonah Hann. Berkley is the daughter of Brandon and Cara Dirnberger. Holly is the daughter of Mitch and Mandy Hairston of Sikeston. Jonah is the son of Jamie and LeShae Hann.
The reception was held at St. Denis Parish Center.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 17 at the parish center.
Carissa is a 2010 graduate of Thomas W. Kelly High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2014. She is a third grade teacher at Kelly School.
Amos is a 2010 graduate of Sikeston High School. He is a 2011 graduate of Tulsa Welding School. He is employed at Viking Cives-Midwest in Morley, Missouri.
The couple is residing in Benton.
