Carrie Ann Kiefer and Steven Robert Santel were married Sept. 3, 2005, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, Mo. The Rev. Kevin Fausz performed the ceremony. Readers were Lynette Santel, sister of the groom; Joel Koesterer and Amy Miesner, cousins of the bride; Sarah and Emily Garner, stepsisters of the bride.
Music was provided by Mary Hoehn and Darlene Kiefer, aunts of the bride; Danny Kiefer and Bill Fischer, uncles of the bride; and Patty Hohendal.
The bride is the daughter of Dwight and Karen Kiefer of Cape Girardeau and Patrice and Orville Baer of Perryville. The groom is the son of Robert and Dorene Santel of Troy, Ill.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Erin Blevins. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Moylan, cousin of the bride; Jodi Flanagan, Nicky Geringer and Stephanie Brown.
Tom Vogt was the groom's best man. Groomsmen were Arif Mahmood and Dawayne Grohs. Ushers were Robert Kiefer, brother of the bride, and Chris Koesterer, cousin of the bride.
Guest book attendants were Jessalyn Rhyne, cousin of the bride, and Dena Ernst. Programs were handed out by Joel and Ryan Koesterer, cousins of the bride.
The bride's parents hosted the reception and dance at the American Legion Hall in Perryville. Servers were Anna Kiefer and Louise Finger, aunts of the bride; Marcene Stewart and Jane Otte, aunts of the groom.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Colonnade Room in Perryville.
Mrs. Santel is a 1996 graduate of Perryville High School, and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is pursuing a master of education in reading. She is a fifth grade teacher at Rockwood School District in St. Louis.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Collinsville High school, and received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Illinois University. He is an aerospace engineer with Department of Defense in St. Louis.
The couple resides in Creve Coeur, Mo.
