Deanna K. Johnston and Ian M. Huffman were united in marriage March 22, 2003, at Heartland Banquet Hall in Jackson. Jannis Culberson of Fruitland performed the ceremony. Music was by Dennis Graham, cousin of the bride, and Judy Graham of Fredericktown, Mo.

Phil and Paula Johnston of Jackson are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Joice Whitby of Cape Girardeau.

Matron of honor was Hayley Cobb of Puxico, Mo. Bridesmaids were Amber Saupe of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, and Brandy Martin of Cape Girardeau.

The groom chose the bride's father as best man. Groomsmen were Keith Cobb and Eric Brown. Usher was Jesse Saupe, cousin of the bride.

Candlelighters were Dana Johnston of Jackson, sister of the bride, and Brandi Strong of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.

Flower girl and ringbearer were Cheyanne and Tristan Rhodes of Jackson.

Samantha Meyer of Jackson attended the guest book.

The reception was held at the banquet hall. Server was Edith Prater of Jackson, grandmother of the bride.

The rehearsal dinner was held March 21 at the banquet hall.

Mrs. Johnston is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School, and plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University.

The groom, who is taking his wife's surname, attended Jackson High School, and is a graduate of Southeast Missouri Hairstyling Academy.

After a wedding trip to Disney World, the couple is residing locally.
