Dr. Colleen Marie Johnson and Mark David Moore were married July 5, 2008, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick Nwokoye performed the ceremony. Lectors were Caryl Hanlon of Sunrise, Fla., aunt and godmother of the bride; Margaret Van Dijk of Rochester, Ill., and Stacy Moore of Granite City, Ill., sisters-in-law of the groom.
Eucharistic ministers were Rick and Rhonda Cuba of Cape Girardeau. Gifts were presented by the bride and groom; Olivia Moore of Granite City, Andy and Audie Moore of Rochester, niece and nephews of the groom. Soloists were Alan Bruns and Trisha Mothershead of Cape Girardeau, and Michelle Bennett of Nashville, Tenn.
Servers were Kevin Hanlon of Sunrise and Sean Hanlon of Ocala, Fla., cousins of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. David and Florence Johnson of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Phillip Moore Sr. of Jerseyville, Ill., and Linda Moore of Rochester.
Matron of honor was Dr. Annalise' Sorrentino of Helena, Ala. Bridesmaids were Lori Johnson of Lake St. Louis, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; Alissa Wagner of Atlanta, Ga., cousin of the bride; Dr. Karen Caudill of St. Louis and Mary Alice Lohmeier of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Drew Aschenbrenner of Springfield, Ill., was best man. Groomsmen were Philip Johnson of Lake St. Louis, brother of the bride; Phillip Moore of Chula Vista, Calif., Christopher Moore of Granite City, and Steven Moore of Rochester, brothers of the groom. Ushers were Dr. J.R. Hartig of Helena and Dr. Matthew Boland of Town and Country, Mo.
Candlelighters and program attendants were Amy Knaup of Mexico, Mo., and Dr. Heather Wuebker of St. Louis.
Flower girl was Ava Hunt of Upper Arlington, Ohio, cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Nolan Johnson of Lake St. Louis, nephew and godson of the bride.
The dinner and dance reception was held at Cape Girardeau Country Club. Servers were Gretchen and Lauren Schulz of Columbia, Mo.
The rehearsal dinner and contra dance was held July 4 at the Water's Edge in Gordonville.
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City BA/MD program. She completed her general surgery residency and fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is an assistant professor of surgery and a vascular surgeon with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield.
The groom is a graduate of the University of Illinois. He is employed by the state of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services in Springfield. He is also women's head volleyball coach at Robert Morris College in Springfield.
After a wedding trip to Alabama, the couple is residing in Springfield.
