First Baptist Church in Jackson was the setting for the wedding of Cathy Jean Ireland and Joshua Scott Featherston Aug. 3, 2002. The Rev. Brian Anderson performed the ceremony. Organist was Laura Robinson, and vocalists were Michelle Hicks of Campbell, Mo., and Reba James of Memphis, Tenn.

Parents of the bride are Ward and Nelda Ireland of Jackson. The groom is the son of Jerry and Mary Ann Featherston of Gordonville.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Maid of honor was Lori Quade of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Melissa Schilling of Jackson and Jessica Seratti of St. Louis.

David Keith of Jackson served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Chris Calahan of Cape Girardeau and Eric Featherston of Gordonville, brother of the groom.

Flower girl was Kayla Miller of Campbell. Ringbearer was Alexander Featherston of Jackson.

Candlelighters were Debra Ireland, sister of the bride, and Lisa Picou, both of Cape Girardeau.

Picou also attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, a dinner was held at the church and a dance was held at the Elks Lodge in Jackson.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 2 at Dexter Bar-B-Que.

Mrs. Featherston is a graduate of Jackson High School, and is majoring in criminal justice at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed by Lynn Enterprises in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a graduate of Jackson High School, and is a pre-optometry student at Southeast University. He is lab manager at Best Optical Lab Inc. in Cape Girardeau.

The couple resides in Jackson.
