Alyssa Lee Holyfield and Matthew John Groeteke were united in marriage Oct. 11, 2008, at Twin Oaks Winery in Farmington, Mo. The Rev. Larry Gallamore performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Henry "Butch" and Sally Holyfield and David and Vickie Howard, all of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of John and Starlet Groeteke of St. Charles, Mo.
Matron of honor was Shelley Eckelmann of House Springs, Mo., sister of the groom. Bridesmaid was Elizabeth Groeteke of St. Charles, sister of the groom.
Josh Nadler of Laurel, Md., was best man. Groomsman was Tom Kanning of O'Fallon, Mo. Ushers were Curt Lekar of Wright City, Mo., and Daniel Groeteke of St. Charles, brother of the groom.
Flower girl was Haley Eckelmann of St. Charles, niece of the bride.
The reception was held at the winery, hosted by the bride's parents.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 10 at Pios Restaurant in St. Charles.
Mrs. Groeteke is a 2001 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in recreation administration from Missouri Western State University in 2004, and a master's of business administration from Lindenwood University in 2008. She is recreation specialist for youth activities with the city of O'Fallon.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Lutheran High School in St. Peters, Mo. He attended St. Louis Community College at Meramec. He is employed at Wiese Nursery.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple is residing in St. Peters.
