Francine's Gardens was the setting May 28, 2007, for the wedding of Melanie Dawn Hoffard and Marc Anthony McClure. Dan Greene performed the ceremony. Music was by David Stagner of Cape Girardeau and Debbie Young of Jackson. Vocalist was Wendy Petzoldt of Jackson.
The bride is the daughter of Donnie and Judy Hoffard of Johnston City, Ill. The groom is the son of Dale McClure of Puxico, Mo., and David and Charlotte Stagner of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Megan Martin-Leitzen of Red Bud, Ill. Bridesmaid was Elizabeth Reed of Washington, Ind.
Michael Clubb of Puxico, uncle of the groom, was best man. Groomsman was Aaron Roth of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Kelsey Kanies of St. Charles, Ill., cousin of the bride, and Kristin Griffin of Scott City, cousin of the groom.
Flower girls were Emily and Abigale Ford, Adelyn Reese, nieces of the groom, and Carly Hoffard, niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Jacob Ford, nephew of the groom. Emily, Abigale and Jacob are the children of Jennifer McClure. Adelyn is the daughter of Noah and Michelle Reese, and Carly is the daughter of Chris Hoffard and Nicky Tanner.
Michelle Reese and Molly Nirider attended the guest book.
The reception was held at Francine's Gardens.
David and Charlotte Stagner hosted the rehearsal dinner May 27 at Cape Bible Chapel.
Mrs. McClure is a 1996 graduate of Johnston City High School, received an associate of science degree at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Ill., and a bachelor of science in occupational therapy at the University of Southern Indiana-Evansville in 2001. She is an independent pediatric occupational therapist with Missouri First Steps Program, and a PRN occupational therapist for multiple skilled nursing facilities in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Central High School. He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is owner of McClure Roofing. He plans to pursue a degree in biblical studies at Emmaus Bible College this winter.
The couple currently resides in Cape Girardeau, and plans to move to Dubuque, Iowa, this winter.
