Erin Jessie Herbst of Cape Girardeau and Jared Michael Bieser of Overland Park, Kansas, were united in marriage Oct. 15, 2011 at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Thomas Sullenger performed the ceremony. Matt McFarland of Oran, Mo., was organist, Graeme Allen of St. Louis was vocalist and Kyle Bieser of Chesterfield, Mo., was guitarist.
The bride is the daughter of Charlie and Sydney Herbst of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of James and Mary Kay Bieser of Chesterfield.
Maid of honor was Jenna Russell of Liberty, Mo. Bridesmaids were Emily Schroeder of St. Charles, Mo.; Sara Amick of Columbia, Mo.; Jennifer Pancoast of Memphis, Tenn.; Allyson Herbst of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride; Claire Herbst of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride; and Sarah Bieser of Chesterfield, sister of the groom.
Scott Boswell of Ottumwa, Iowa, was best man. Groomsmen were Richard Hill of St. Louis; Eric Hansen of St. Louis; Vince Kennedy of Indianapolis, Ind.; Dane Guempel of Overland Park; Kyle Bieser of Chesterfield, brother of the groom; and Travis Herbst of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride.
Flower girls were Chloe and Brianna Inman of St. Louis, daughters of Tom and Jamie Inman and cousins of the groom. Ringbearer was Ellis Kirner of Prairie du Sac, Wis., son of Brett and Katie Kirner and godson and cousin of the groom.
Ushers were Mark Bieser of Farmington, Mo., cousin of the groom; Taylor Herbst of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Dustin Williams of Kansas City, Mo.; and Jake Whitener of Farmington.
The reception was held at Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 14 in the Riverview Room at Buckner Brewing Company in Cape Girardeau.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She received a bachelor of science in nursing in 2010 from Truman State University. She is a charge nurse on the all-male unit at Garden Terrace at Overland Park-Alzheimer's Center of Excellence in Overland Park.
The groom is 2004 graduate of St. Louis University High School. He received a bachelor of science in computer science in 2008 from Truman State University. He is a software engineer at Cerner Corporation.
After a wedding trip to Waikiki Beach, Oahu, Hawaii the couple is residing in Overland Park.
