Hemmann - Miesner

St. John's Lutheran Church at Pocahontas was the setting Feb. 16, 2008, for the wedding of Katie Louise Hemmann and Chad Michael Miesner. Bruce Ritter performed the ceremony. Organist was Sue Ludwig of Jackson and pianist was Lexie Myers of Oak Ridge. Soloists were Stephen Meier and April Brumfield, cousin of the bride, both of Jackson.

Parents of the couple are David and Cathy Hemmann of Jackson, and Rick and Elaine Miesner of Frohna, Mo.

Maid of honor was Mindy Ruch of Daisy. Bridesmaids were Emma Hemmann of Jackson, sister of the bride; Bethany Miesner of Frohna, sister of the groom; April Brumfield and Shelly Holzum of Jackson; Amy Pohlman of Oak Ridge; Lexie Myers of Jackson; Laura Glueck of Oak Ridge; Melinda Morrison and Melinda Schoen of Oak Ridge, cousins of the groom.

Derek Miesner of Frohna was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Kyle Hemmann of Jackson, brother of the bride; Kevin Martyn, Edward Richardet and Steven Miesner, all of Frohna and cousins of the groom; Tim Neislein of Perryville, Mo.; Nick Braeuner of Altenburg, Mo.; Chad Morrison of Perryville; and Matt Schoen of Oak Ridge, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Adam Meier of Altenburg and Ben Meier of Jackson, cousins of the bride.

Flower girl was Kylee Kassel, daughter of Travis and Heather Kassel of Altenburg.

Guest book attendants were Danielle and Taylor Keller, Kyla Dibert, and Kristyna Meier.

The reception was held at Bavarian Halle in Fruitland.

The couple's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Feb. 15 at Mac's Smokehouse in Shawneetown.

Mrs. Miesner is a 2003 graduate of Oak Ridge High School, and received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008. She is employed at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Perryville High School. He is employed at Altenburg Hardwoods and by Miesner Farms.

The couple resides in Frohna.
