Carol Heitman and Tom Lucy were married Sept. 16, 2006, at Cape First. The Rev. Gary Brothers performed the ceremony. Music was by Brent Anderson of Cape Girardeau. Soloists were George Aplin of Belleville, Ill., and Deb McKay of Dexter, Mo.

The bride is the daughter of Frank Heitman of Houston, Texas, and Ruth Heitman of Dexter. The groom is the son of Ray and Reva Lucy of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Maid of honor was Linda Heitman of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Deidre Jewel of Cape Girardeau and Patty Guthrie of Bethalto, Ill. Junior bridesmaids were Makenna and Matison Heitman, daughters of Ron and Tamara Heitman of Chicago, and nieces of the bride.

The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Blake Tiemann and Ken Demyan of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Chris Horinek, Larry McKay of Dexter, George Florian and Joe Richardson of Cape Girardeau, and Ron Heitman.

Ringbearers were Aaron and Caleb Horinek, sons of Chris and Denise Horinek and nephews of the groom.

Lauren Shafer of Columbia, Mo., and Jennifer Smith of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book.

The reception was held at the church. Servers were Kim Tanksley of Cape Girardeau, Marcia Schoonover of Jackson, and Jennifer Smith.

The rehearsal dinner was held Sept. 15 at the Dempster Building on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

Mrs. Lucy received a master's degree in business administration from St. Louis University. She is ministry development pastor at Cape First.

The groom attended Vincennes University and Oklahoma State University. He is children's pastor at House of Hope.

The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
