Theresa Elaine Hale and Thomas Andrew Hoffmeister were united in marriage Sept. 27, 2008, at Cape County Park. The Rev. Travis Clayton performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ron Hale and Joice Whitby of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Carol Carter of Cape Girardeau, and the late Clarence J. Hoffmeister of St. Louis.
Maid of honor was MacKenzie Miller of Mayport, Pa., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kathleen Clayton and Libby Wilson of Cape Girardeau
Andrew McAuley of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Ian Huffman, brother of the bride, and Nick Henderson, both of Jackson.
Ringbearer was Joseph Hernandez of Mayport, son of MacKenzie and Ben Miller and nephew of the bride.
Sophie Wilson attended the guest book.
The reception was held at the home of the bride and groom.
Mrs. Hoffmeister is a 1989 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in mass communication from Southeast Missouri State University in 1996. She is a library media assistant at Central Junior High School.
The groom is a 1986 graduate of Central High School. He is a locomotive engineer with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.
The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
