Cassie Amanda Gross and Edgar Lloyd Myers IV were united in marriage Sept. 30, 2011, at Pere Marquette Lodge in Grafton, Ill. The Rev. Charles Mister and Bill Roussel performed the ceremony. Music was by Ben Harper.
The bride is the daughter of Chris and Debbie Gross of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Ed and Nancy Myers of Jackson.
Maid of honor was Morgan Myers of Fairview Heights, Ill., daughter of the groom.
Hayden Myers of Fairview Heights, son of the groom, was best man. Usher was Dustin Gross of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride.
A private reception was held at the lodge.
A reception for family and friends will be held Nov. 26 at the Eagles Club in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Myers is a graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Columbia College in Columbia Mo. She received a master of arts degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is completing a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is labor and employee relations specialist with the U.S. Treasury Department in St. Louis.
The groom is a graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in information systems management from the University of Maryland, and a master of science degree in information systems management from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He is an IT project manager with the Department of Defense at Scott AFB, Ill.
Following a road trip through the American west, the couple is residing in Fairview Heights.
