Julie Michelle Glosemeyer and David Richard Ellis were married Oct. 7, 2000, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dan Schulte performed the double ring ceremony. Readers were Ann Knaup of Jackson, Mo., and William Henderson of Memphis, Tenn. Giftbearers were Bud and Judie Stone of St. Louis, godparents of the bride.
Organist was Jeff Overbey and soloist was Adam Cox, both of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the couple are Bill and Nancy Glosemeyer of Cape Girardeau, and Richard and Sharon Ellis of Springfield, Mo.
Maid of honor was Allison Knaup of St. Louis. Matron of honor was Jennifer Ward of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tami Glosemeyer of St. Louis, sister-in-law of the bride; Janelle and Janet Glosemeyer of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the bride.
Daniel Ellis of Springfield, Mo., served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Jake Herman of Springdale, Ark., Kevin Booth of Jefferson City, Mo., Todd McClain of Springfield, and Chris Robb of Kansas City, Mo. Ushers were Chris Glosemeyer of St. Louis and Bryan Glosemeyer of Cape Girardeau, brothers of the bride.
Flower girl was Samantha Glosemeyer, daughter of Chris and Tami Glosemeyer of St. Louis and niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Mason Oliver, son of Jeff and Kim Oliver of Chaffee, Mo.
Candlelighters were Sara Markworth of Kansas City and Heather Asher of St. Louis.
Heather Asher also attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Cape Girardeau Elks Lodge. Servers were Tracy Smith and Dondi Rahn.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 6 at Port Cape Girardeau.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Southwest Missouri State University in 1998. She is senior accountant with Kiefer Bonfanti and Co. LLP in St. Louis.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in advertising from Southwest University in 1997, and a bachelor's degree in graphic design from Maryville University in May 2001. He is a free lance graphic designer in St. Louis.
The couple resides in St. Louis.
