Lori Ann Gillihan and David Lee Evans were married Sept. 28, 2002, in the Baptist Student Center at Southeast Missouri State University. The Rev. Ron Taylor performed the ceremony. Soloist was Janice Duckett of Poplar Bluff, Mo., sister of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Troy and Hazel Gillihan of Poplar Bluff. The groom is the son of Doris Evans of Cape Girardeau.

Matron of honor was Beth Phillips of Iowa City, Iowa. Bridesmaids were Karen Hattan of Nashville, Tenn., and Jamie Pell of Jackson. Junior bridesmaid was Kara Evans of St. Peters, Mo., daughter of the groom.

Terry Evans of Marble Hill, Mo., served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Joe Mosley and Tom Masterson of Scott City.

Flower girl was Emily Duckett, daughter of Gary and Janice Duckett and niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Wyatt Wilkerson, son of Kerry Stratton of Poplar Bluff.

Karen Gillihan attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the center. Servers were Amanda Mosley, Susan Gillihan and Shari Stratton.

The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 27 at the center.

Mrs. Evans received a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Southwest Baptist University, and a master's degree in community counseling from Southeast University. She is employed at A.O. Employment Services Inc.

The groom received an associate's degree in electrical/electronic engineering while serving in the U.S. Navy. He is employed at Advanced Business Systems.

The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
