Valerie Nichole Gibbons and Daniel Shane Jackson exchanged vows June 12, 2010, at St. Augustine Church in Kelso, Mo. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony. Organist was Hope Essner of Kelso. Vocalists were Renee Reinagel of Kelso and Donna Hess of Chaffee, Mo.
Parents of the couple are Larry and Sandy Gibbons of Kelso, and Jerry and Debby Jackson of Scott City.
Matron of honor was Christie Wormington of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Danielle Gibbons of Kelso, sister of the bride; Kaitlin Ward, Brittney Cummins and Jana Porch, all of Scott City.
Ryan Lutes of Scott City was best man. Groomsmen were Jerry Jackson of Patton, Mo., Will Jackson of Jackson, brothers of the groom; Matt Miller of Scott City; and Mark Johnston of Pevely, Mo. Ushers were David Merchant of Jackson, brother of the groom, and Brandon Elfrink of Kelso, cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Ashton Elfrink of Kelso and Brittany Kiefer of New Hamburg, Mo., cousins of the bride.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Caylee and Matthew Wormington Jr. of Cape Girardeau, niece and nephew of the bride.
The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City.
Mrs. Jackson is a 2007 graduate of Scott City High School. She received an associate degree in applied science in radiologic technology from Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences in May. She is a radiologic technician at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Scott City High School. He is a salesman at Fisher Auto Parts in Jackson.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Kelso.
