Veronica Caitlin Gavan and Brian Daniel Coggins were married March 19, 2005, at First Christian Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo. The Rev. Don Hutto performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Rebecca Gavan of Doniphan, Mo., and the late David Gavan of Fredericktown, Mo. The groom is the son of Glen and Debbie Coggins of Bloomfield, Mo.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Jason Gavan of Kaunas, Lithuania. She was presented in marriage by her mother and brother.
Maid of honor was Tessa Gavan of Piedmont, Mo., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Brooke Boston of Piedmont, cousin of the bride, and Jennifer Davis of Cape Girardeau.
John Gandt of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Steven Williams of Dexter, Mo., and Brian White of Poplar Bluff. Ushers were Jason Massey and Jason Musgrave of Bloomfield, and Brandon McClure of Springfield, Mo.
Candlelighters were Jesse Hillis and Kevin Seal of Piedmont, cousins of the bride.
Flower girl was Mallory Huff and ringbearer was Luke Hillis, cousin of the bride, both of Piedmont.
Guest book attendant was Lindsey Fowler of Piedmont, cousin of the bride.
The dinner and dance reception was held at Perkins Banquet Hall in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Coggins is a 1999 graduate of Clearwater High School. She expects to receive a degree in early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University in December. She will student teach this fall in the Bloomfield and Dexter School Districts.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Bloomfield High School. He received a degree in computer science from Southeast in May 2005. He is employed at W.W. Wood Products in Dudley, Mo.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Dexter.
