Rachael Mary Essner and Eric Christian Daume were married Nov. 10, 2012, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. David Hulshof performed the ceremony. Concelebrant was the Rev. Thomas P. Kiefer, cousin of the bride. Soloist was Alan Bruns, accompanied by pianist Cheryl Oberhaus, both of Cape Girardeau. Flutists were Paul and Matthew Thompson and violinist was Elizabeth Ansberry, all of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. James M. Essner and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Daume of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Laura Bates of St. Louis. Bridesmaids were Shannon Jett of Rome, Ga., cousin of the bride; Jennifer Barylski of Lake St. Louis, sister of the groom; Tasha Cardin of Cape Girardeau, Kristen Boren and Alison Balsano of Cape Girardeau, and Amanda Bruenderman of Scott City.
Bryan Daume of Danville, Ill., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Taylor Essner of St. Louis, brother of the bride; Timothy Buerck, cousin of the groom; Matthew Cardin and Anthony Boren, all of Cape Girardeau; Clinton Hoffman of Memphis, Tenn., and Elliott Swoboda of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Emily Simpson of Chicago and John Essner of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride.
A dinner and dance reception was held at Drury Lodge.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 9 at Bella Italia Ristorante.
Mrs. Daume is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in investigative and medical sciences from St. Louis University in 2009, and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in 2010. She is a registered nurse in the operating room at Saint Francis Medical Center.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Central High School. He received a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2008. He is an infusion pharmacist and is director of pharmacy at Home Parenteral Services of Southeast Missouri in Cape Girardeau.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
