SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- St. Augustine Catholic Church at Kelso, Mo., was the setting Nov. 24, 2001, for the wedding of Trisha Dawn Emmons and Matthew Denis LeGrand. The Revs. Oliver Clavin and Normand Varone performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Betty Ressel of Kelso, and vocalists were LaDonna Lynch of Cape Girardeau and Bobby Ressel of Kelso.
Reader was Julie Schwartz of St. Charles, Mo. Giftbearers were Louis and Alene Eftink, godparents of the bride, and Tony and Janet Landewee, godparents of the groom, all of Scott City.
David and Lillian Emmons of Scott City are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Patricia LeGrand of Benton, Mo., and the late Denis J. LeGrand.
Maid of honor was Dana Tingwall of New Hamburg, Mo., cousin of the bride. Matron of honor was Suzan Moore of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Leible of Barnhart, Mo., Mary Harrell of Chaffee, Mo., and Nicole Landewee of Scott City.
Michael Landeros of Chaffee, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Landon LeGrand of Benton, cousin of the groom; Mitch Sander of Scott City; Tim Scherer of Benton, brother-in-law of the groom; and Philip Moore of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the bride. Ushers were Derek Welter of New Hamburg, cousin of the bride, and Garrett Stricker of Charleston, Mo., cousin of the groom.
Candlelighters were Michelle Scherer and Pamela Landeros, sisters of the groom.
Jennifer Mayfield of Scott City attended the guest book. Program attendants were Whitney Eftink of Kelso, cousin of the bride, and Rachel Spears of Bell City, Mo., cousin of the groom.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City. Servers were Vicki LeGrand of Benton and Rosie Spears of Bell City, aunts of the groom, and Angela Stricker of Charleston, cousin of the groom.
The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 23 at St. Augustine Ruma Center.
Mrs. LeGrand is a 1994 graduate of Scott City High School. She received certification in surgical technology from St. Louis Community College at Forest Park in 1997. She is a certified surgical technologist at St. Francis Medical Center.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Thomas W. Kelly High School. He received a degree in agriculture/business from Southeast Missouri State University in 1997. He is self-employed with LeGrand Farm Co.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Benton.
