BENTON, Mo. -- Regina Rae Durham and Michael Brent Merrell were united in marriage in a private ceremony Dec. 10, 2010.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Brenda Durham of Elco, Ill. The groom is the son of Mike and Annie Merrell of Lewistown, Mo.

Mrs. Merrell received a bachelor of science degree in exceptional child education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2001. She is a special education teacher at Chaffee Elementary School in Chaffee, Mo.

Merrell is employed at Lowe's in Sikeston, Mo.

The couple is residing in Benton.
