GLENALLEN, Mo. -- Leah Marie Dowd and Scott Allen Hottes exchanged vows July 31, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Marble Hill, Mo. The Rev. Fred Ritter performed the ceremony. Pianist was Linda Meadows of Cape Girardeau, and soloist was Shaunda Walsh of Carthage, Mo.

Howard and Cheryl Dowd of Glenallen are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Dorothy Hottes of Christopher, Ill., and the late Louis Hottes.

Maid of honor was Karrie Filer of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Saliena Dowd, sister-in-law of the bride, Amanda Brown, sister of the bride, both of Glenallen, and Rachel Dailey of Springfield, Mo.

Derric Johnson was best man. Groomsmen were Ross Dowd of Glenallen, brother of the bride; Kevin Thompson of Kirksville, Mo., and Jason Clark of Pinckneyville, Ill. Ushers were Michael Dowd of Glenallen, brother of the bride, and Matt Zschille of Jackson.

Candlelighters were Logan Dowd and Tyler Brown of Glenallen, nephews of the bride.

Flower girls were Alyssa Dowd and Daria Kern of Glenallen, nieces of the bride. Ringbearer was Dylan Hottes of Jackson, son of the groom.

Miniature bride and groom were Rylie Brown and Mason Dowd of Glenallen, niece and nephew of the bride.

Laugh Baugh attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the Family Life Center at the church. Servers were Mitch and Marsh Eaker, Pat Hovis, Pat Mattingly, Mary Hager and Carla Watt.

The rehearsal dinner was held July 30 at the church.

Mrs. Hottes is a graduate of Woodland High School and Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center. She is a respiratory therapist at Southeast Missouri Hospital and St. Louis Children's Hospital.

The groom is a graduate of Pinckneyville High School and Southern Illinois University. He is a respiratory therapist at Southeast Hospital.

After a wedding trip to San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, the couple is residing in Jackson.
