Karie Jeanne Doughty and Timothy Austin Stroder were united in marriage Oct. 22, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Jackson. Tim Winborne performed the ceremony. Violinist was Jacob Dakon of North Carolina, cousin of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald Doughty of Pekin, Ill., and William and Laura Peffley of Springfield, Ill. The groom is the son of Lonnie and Susan Stroder of Jackson.

Maid of honor was Heather Klotz of Cherry Valley, Ill., and matron of honor was Katie Williamson of Cross Lanes, W.Va., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Angie Schwab of Jackson, Jennifer Klotz of Cherry Valley, Sarah Goodwin of Jackson, and Mirra Smith of Cape Girardeau.

Nathan Tuschhoff of Jackson was best man. Groomsmen were Tony LoMedico of Oklahoma; Craig Hutson; Sean Winstead; Ryan Stroder, brother of the groom; and Mark Anderson, all of Jackson. Ushers were Drew Burgess of Cape Girardeau and Zach Morgan of Jackson.

Flower girls were Lindsay, Alexa and Landria Pewitt of Jackson, cousins of the groom. Ringbearer was Alex Stroder of Jackson, brother of the groom.

Megan Pewitt of Ellington, Mo., cousin of the groom, attended the guest book.

The reception was held in the University Center Ballroom at Southeast Missouri State University. Servers were Elaine Carlson of Jackson and Amanda Kessler of Evansville, Ill.

The rehearsal dinner was held Oct. 21 at Dexter Bar-B-Que, hosted by the groom's parents, and grandparents, Bud and Sue Pewitt of Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Stroder received an associate's degree in liberal arts from Springfield College in Illinois in 2001, and a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 2003. She is employed at Southeast University.

The groom received bachelor and master degrees in chemistry in 2001 and 2005, respectively, both from Southeast. He is a graduate assistant at Southeast and is also employed at Lone Star Concrete.

After a wedding trip to Memphis, Tenn., the couple is residing in Jackson.
