Sarah Kaylyn Crump and Van Jonathan Wright were married Sept. 28, 2013, at the Water's Edge in Gordonville. The Rev. Joe McCullough performed the ceremony. Laura and Scott Ryan of Cape Girardeau, sister and brother-in-law of the bride, were violinist and guitarist, respectively.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Carolyn Crump of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Leslie Wright of Grants Pass, Ore.
Maid of honor was Abby Kester of Cape Girardeau, niece of the bride.
Avery Garrison of Cape Girardeau, nephew of the bride, was best man. Usher was John Kuehn of Perryville, Mo., uncle of the bride.
The reception was held at the Water's Edge.
Mrs. Wright is a 2004 graduate of Central High School. She received a culinary arts degree in baking and pastry from the Culinary Institute LeNotre in Houston, Texas. She is a pastry chef at La Torretta Lake Resort and Spa in Montgomery, Texas.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Custer County District High School in Miles City, Mont. He served five years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a signals intelligence operator. He studied audio visual technical service at Lone Star College. He is a master technician at Intercontinental Integrated Systems in Conroe, Texas.
The couple is residing in Conroe.
