Brenda Rae Cronk and James Curtis Rutherford were united in marriage April 9, 2005, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Elkhart, Iowa. The Rev. Michael Amadeo performed the candlelight ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Leslie and Diane Cronk of Elkhart. The groom is the son of Jess and Jackie Rutherford of Oak Ridge.
Matron of honor was Melanie Cowman of Ankeny, Iowa. Bridesmaids were Kristin Wendl of Johnston, Iowa, and Marlo Cronk of Sioux Falls, S.D., sister-in-law of the bride.
Chuck Vossler of Kansas City, Kan., was best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Rutherford of Tampa, Fla., brother of the groom, and Jason Hawkins of Dallas, Texas. Ushers were Michael Cronk of Elkhart and Darrell Cronk of Sioux Falls, brothers of the bride.
Colette Simpson and Jolene Lettow, cousins of the bride, attended the guest book.
The reception was held at Stoney Creek Inn in Johnston.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 8 at Okoboji Restaurant in Johnston.
Mrs. Rutherford is a graduate of La Roche College in Pittsburgh, Pa. She is an anesthetist with Associated Anesthesiologists Inc. in Tulsa, Okla.
The groom is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is employed with American Airlines as a lead engineer in the 737 division.
After a wedding trip to Paris, France, the couple is residing in Owasso, Okla.
