Kristy Lynn Crites and Kirkley Wayne Smith exchanged wedding vows May 24, 2003, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit. The Rev. Mark Boettcher performed the ceremony. Organist was Wanda Aufdenberg of Gordonville, and soloist was Sheila Boyd of Bertrand, Mo.

The bride is the daughter of Keith and Sharon Crites of Jackson. The groom is the son of Gena Welker of Patton, Mo., and the late Wayne Smith.

Maid of honor was Cindy Lorenz, and junior maid of honor was Kelly Crites, sister of the bride, both of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Heather VanGennip of Jackson and Kate Kirchdoerfer of Gordonville, cousin of the bride.

Ryan Yamnitz of Sedgewickville, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Adam Kirchdoerfer of Gordonville, cousin of the bride; Mark Weaver of Millersville; and Joel Hahs of Sedgewickville, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Brent Aufdenberg of Jackson, cousin of the bride, and Ben Beel of Leopold, Mo., cousin of the groom.

Candlelighters were Samantha Smith, Bridget Welker and Whitney Welker, all of Patton and sisters of the groom.

Flower girl was Hannah Aufdenberg, daughter of Steve and Sarah Aufdenberg of Jackson and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Jacob Monteith. son of Jim and Kim Monteith of Jackson and cousin of the groom.

Jenna Hahs of Sedgewickville, cousin of the groom, attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Tara Kirchdoerfer of Gordonville and Morgan Bangert of Jackson, cousins of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Jackson. Servers were Joyce Crites, Ellen Kirchdoerfer, Renee Aufdenberg, Sheila Hahs and Vicki Dickson.

The rehearsal dinner was held May 23 at Delmonico's.

Mrs. Smith is a graduate of Jackson High School, and of Southeast Missouri State University where she majored in early childhood education. She is employed at Hobby Lobby Creative Center.

The groom is a graduate of Meadow Heights High School, and of Jefferson College where he majored in refrigeration and air conditioning. He is employed by Coca-Cola Bottling Co.

After a wedding trip to Hot Springs, Ark., the couple is residing in Patton.
