KELSO, Mo. -- Sarah Renee Cotner and Scott Michael Heisserer were married Oct. 19, 2002, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony. String selections were played by Trio Girardeaux of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Lester Cotner of Kelso, and Darlene Abshire of Las Vegas, Nev. The groom is the son of Ralph and Debbie Heisserer of New Hamburg, Mo.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Bridwell of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kristina Bollinger of Benton, Mo.; Nikki Urhahn of Oran, Mo., sister of the groom; Sandy Bell of Cape Girardeau, and Jennifer Kluesner of Scott City.
Jimmy Simcox of St. Clair, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Matt Heisserer of New Hamburg; Ben Urhahn of Oran, brother-in-law of the groom; Tracy Messmer of Fruitland, uncle of the groom; and Neil Gates of Sikeston, Mo. Ushers were Jerry Bridwell of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the bride, and Ted Walter of Vandalia, Ohio, cousin of the bride.
Flower girl was Kaitlyn Wilburn, daughter of Troy and Tai Wilburn of Olive Branch, Ill. Ringbearer was Nicholas Cassout, son of Chris and Kathy Cassout of Scott City and cousin of the bride.
Lynn Simcox attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at St. Lawrence Parish Center in New Hamburg. Servers were Angie Hankins of Cape Girardeau, Christy Hess of Gordonville, and Carrie Simcox of St. Clair.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the parish center.
Mrs. Heisserer is a 1993 graduate of Scott City High School. She is a set team supervisor with Anderson Merchandisers.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Kelly High School, attended Lynn State Technical College, and received an associate of applied science degree in auto collision repair in 1997.
The couple resides in New Hamburg.
