CHAFFEE, Mo. — Erin Therese Cook and Matthew John Carlton were married Nov. 3, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial, Mo. The Rev. Edward Goldian performed the ceremony. Vocalists were Richard Carlton of St. Louis, father of the groom, and Cheryl Tilley of Hillsboro, Mo.
Mass servers were Matthew Brucker of Chaffee and Duston Hutson of Jackson, cousins of the bride. Giftbearers were Leon and Brenda Gosche of Jefferson City, Mo., godparents of the bride, and Dody Kuhlenburg of Barnhart, Mo., and Skip Wieczorek of Swansea, Ill., godparents of the groom.
Ken and Diane Cook of Chaffee are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mike and Karen Matthews of Columbia, Ill., and Richard Carlton.
Maid of honor was Marianne Cook of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Young of Lees Summit, Mo.; Rebecca Cook of Bolivar, Mo., and Sarah Cook of Columbia, Mo., sisters of the bride; and Kristin Borgwald of Miami, Fla.
Aaron Wieczorek of St. Louis, cousin of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Middleton of Louisville, Ky., Brian Middleton and Adam Wieczorek of St. Louis, all cousins of the groom; and Michael Cook of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride. Ushers were Stan Wieczorek of St. Louis, uncle of the groom, and Kevin Brucker of Sullivan, Mo., uncle of the bride.
Candlelighter was Katie Brucker of Chaffee, cousin of the bride.
Programs were handed out by Eric Jackson of Cape Girardeau and Katie Brucker.
A dinner and dance was held at the Elks Lodge in Imperial.
Mike and Karen Matthews hosted the rehearsal dinner at Bambino's in Imperial.
Mrs. Carlton is a 2001 graduate of Delta High School. She received a bachelor of secondary education and English from Webster University in St. Louis in 2005. She is a language arts teacher at Hillsboro High School.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Windsor High School. He received a bachelor of secondary education in 1999, and a master of education in 2006, both from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is an assistant principal at Windsor Middle School.
The couple took a spring trip to San Francisco.
They reside in Imperial.
