Dr. Christina Tassinari Claywell and Dr. Jacob Daniel Wengert were married Aug. 13, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, Illinois. The Rev. John Paul Klein performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Kathy Claywell of Godfrey, Illinois. The groom is the son of Alan and Kim Wengert of Jackson.
The maid of honor was Caroline Claywell of Godfrey, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kaylyn Johnson, Samantha Morrison, Kara Caralli, Brooke Van Kirk, Catherine Crass, Andrea Echsner and Haley Wengert, sister of the groom.
The best man was Kyle Schade of Cape Girardeau. Groomsmen were Tyler LeGrand, Shawn Isaacs, Brandon Holzum, J.P. Thompson, Lucas Dirnberger, Nick Unverferth and Jonathan Claywell, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Andrew Buelow and Dave Robbins, both of Cape Girardeau.
Readers were Alan Wengert, father of the groom; Pam Campbell, aunt of the groom; and Barb Gable, aunt of the bride.
Juliana Harrison and Franny Lennaman, aunts of the bride, were presenters of the gifts.
The wedding reception was held at The Franklin Room in St. Louis.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner on Aug. 12 at Tony's Restaurant in Alton.
Christina graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in Alton in 2008. She graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2014. She is owner/operator of The Wellness Connection in Glen Carbon, Illinois.
Jacob graduated from Notre Dame Regional High School in 2006. He is a 2010 graduate of Maryville University in St. Louis, receiving a bachelor's degree in biology. He graduated in 2013 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic. He is a chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic in Glen Carbon.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple lives in Edwardsville, Illinois.
