NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Heather Suzanne Burger and Dustin Wayne Benson were united in marriage July 21, 2007, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Rev. Normand Varone performed the ceremony. Lector was Allison Burger of Benton, Mo., cousin of the bride. Organist was Betty Ressel of Kelso, Mo., and vocalists were Jimmy Simmons of Benton and Renee Reinagel of Kelso.
Parents of the couple are Robin and Nancy Burger of New Hamburg, and Rodney and Bridget Benson of Kelso.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Karen Burger of New Hamburg, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Vanessa Morgan of Benton, Lyndsey Mosby of McClure, Ill., Sarah Moore of Kelso, all cousins of the bride; Emily Davis of Sikeston, Mo., Bekky Underwood of Scott City, Kari Wilhelm of New Hamburg, Suzanne Urhahn of Benton, and Katie Frick of St. Charles, Mo.
Jordon Comer of Scott City was best man. Groomsmen were Jamey Heisserer of Scott City, Jake Ressel and Todd Friend of Kelso, Matt Reed of Anchorage, Alaska, Brandon Licare of Kelso; Brett Burger of Benton, Mark and Heath Burger of New Hamburg, the latter three brothers of the bride. Ushers were Eric Schlosser of Kelso; Mike Workman of Scott City and Brandon Job of Kelso, both cousins of the groom.
Miniature bride was Riley Burger, niece and godchild of the bride, and miniature groom was Alex Burger, nephew of the bride. They are the children of Heath and Karen Burger.
Flower girl was Emma Wilhelm, daughter of James and Kari Wilhelm. Ringbearer was Ashton Hopper, son of David and Leann Hopper of Cape Girardeau and cousin of the groom.
Dana Tingwall of New Hamburg and Jodie Brunke of Benton attended the guest book.
The dinner and dance reception was held at the parish center. Servers were Kristain and Paris Burger, cousins of the bride; Allie Job and Brittany Smith, cousins of the groom.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 20 at Shibley Hall in New Hamburg.
Mrs. Benson is a graduate of Kelly High School. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master's degree in administration from William Woods University. She is a fifth grade teacher with Kelly School District.
The groom is a graduate of Scott City High School. He attended Southeast University.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in Kelso.
