ORAN, Mo. -- Guardian Angel Catholic Church was the setting June 5, 2004, for the wedding of Misty Renee Bryeans and Mark Jason Grimes. The Revs. Ron Hoye and John Harth performed the ceremony. Organist was Dana Lynch of Oran, and soloist was Christy Hency of Benton, Mo.
Parents of the couple are Gaylon and Rosemary Bryeans of Oran, and Montey and Liz Grimes of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Sasha Gohn of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Meg Davis and Marla Ashby of Cape Girardeau; Valerie Grimes of Byrnes Mill, Mo., sister-in-law of the groom; and Sandy Hutson of Oran.
Jeffery Grimes of Byrnes Mill, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Ty Eggiman of Cape Girardeau, Jason Phillipe of San Francisco, Calif., and Thomas Graff of Cape Coral, Fla., cousin of the groom; and Gaylon Bryeans II of Oran, brother of the bride. Junior best man was Matthew Grimes, son of Jeffery and Valerie Grimes and nephew of the groom. Ushers were Birge Robinson and Mike Steele of St. Louis.
Ringbearer was Riley Miller, son of Scott and Sherri Miller of Sikeston, Mo., cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Osage Center.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 4 at Buckner's Bar and Grill.
Mrs. Grimes is a 1995 graduate of Oran High School, and received a degree in interior design from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000. She is a kitchen designer at Lowe's Home Improvement in Louisville, Ky.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Central High School, and attended Southeast. He is a surveyor with Traylor Brothers Inc. in Louisville.
The couple is residing in Louisville.
