Mandy Jo Brunke and Brett Eric Smith were married Sept. 11, 2004, at Deerfield Lodge in Cape Girardeau. Jim Matthews performed the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Tony and Phyllis Brunke and Charlie and Carolyn Smith, all of Jackson.
Maid of honor was Jodie Brunke, sister of the bride, and matron of honor was Erica Armbruster, both of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Amanda Veatch of Jackson; Sydney Moses of St. Louis; Amy Smith, sister-in-law of the groom, and Logan Wessell, cousin of the bride, both of Jackson.
Ryan Smith of Jackson was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Terry Byrd and Brian Beussink of Jackson, Joe Black of Farmington, Mo., and Heath Watson of Jackson. Ushers were Garrett and Lane Fronabarger of Jackson, cousins of the groom.
Flower girl was Kelli Brunke, daughter of Rick and Suzie Brunke of Jackson and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Hunter Wessell, son of Mark and Linda Wessell of Jackson and cousin of the bride.
Mrs. Smith received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Lindenwood University. She is a wedding consultant with Hurt Photography in Columbus, Ohio.
The groom attended Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed in design and management at Newcome Electronics in Columbus.
The couple resides in Columbus.
