Bruening-Stock

Sarah Marie Elizabeth Bruening and Michael Eugene Stock Jr. were married May 24, 2003, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas Breite performed the ceremony. Organist was Ruth Boehne of Hoyleton, Ill., aunt of the bride. Vocalists were Jayne Schrader and Dottie Meyr of Cape Girardeau. Brass instrumentalists were Jon Boehne of Hoyleton, cousin of the bride; Rick Wieser, Randy Whitticre and Eric Scott, all of Cape Girardeau.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Fay Bruening of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Karoline Stock of Belleville, Ill., and Michael Stock Sr. of Columbia, Ill.

Maid of honor was Bethany Konz of Dallas, Texas. Bridesmaids were Nikki Kurfman of Millstadt, Ill.; Kristy Bazar of Belleville, sister of the groom; Cristie Bruening of Greenwood, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; and Caitlin Wessel of Denison, Iowa, cousin of the bride.

Scott Craig of Peoria, Ill., was best man. Groomsmen were Adam Stock of Belleville, brother of the groom; Rob Stock of Belleville, uncle of the groom; and Aaron Bruening of Greenwood, brother of the bride. Ushers were Jon Boehne; Chris O'Rourke of O'Fallon, Mo., Brad Redden of Edwardsville, Ill., and Brad Troutman of Belleville.

Candlelighters were Jerad and Danny Wessel of Denison, cousins of the bride.

Flower girls were Haley Gehlsen, cousin of the bride, and Emily Stock, cousin of the groom. Ringbearers were Dylan Gehlsen, cousin of the bride, and Robbie Stock, cousin of the groom. Haley and Dylan are the children of Brett and Katie Gehlsen of Denison. Emily and Robbie are the children of Rob and Greta Stock.

Becky and Jill Wessel of Denison, cousins of the bride, attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson. Servers were Co Wessel and Katie Gehlsen of Denison, aunts of the bride.

The groom hosted the rehearsal dinner May 23 at the University Center on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

Mrs. Stock is a 1998 graduate of Central High School. She received a degree in geological engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2002, and is pursuing a master's degree in the same field at the university.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Althoff High School in Belleville. He received a degree in mechanical engineering from UMR in 2002, and is pursuing a master's degree in the same field at the university.

The couple is residing in Rolla.
