Browning - Lee

Dr. Alyssa Camille Browning and Dr. John Juheon Lee, both of Roseville, California, were united in marriage on Sept. 27, 2014, at Highland Park Community House in Highland Park, Illinois. The Rev. William Epperly performed the ceremony. Dr. Michael C. Liu of Vancouver, Washington, was pianist and Jennifer Trowbridge of Chicago, Illinois, was guitarist. Reader was Barbara Uhl of Oakville, Missouri, aunt of the bride.

Parents of the couple are Scott and Margaret Browning of Cape Girardeau and Ik Young Lee and Hee Young Lee of Willmette, Illinois.

Maid of honor was Ramelle Browning of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dr. Judy Cui of Seattle, Washington, Dr. Tara Coyle of Oakland, California, and Sue Sun of Sacramento, California.

Flowergirl was Katherine H. Lee, niece of the groom. She is the daughter of Edward J. and Ji Young Lee of Wilmette.

Edward J. Lee of Wilmette, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were William Pappano of Libertyville, Illinois; Benjamin Sun of Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania, and Rhett Browning of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride.

Usher was Autumn Breaud of Baltimore, Maryland.

The rehearsal dinner hosted by the couple was held Sept. 26 at a Chicago-area restaurant.

A reception was held at Highland Park Community House after the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, Rhodes College and Washington University Medical School. She did her residency at Vanderbilt University and a fellowship at the University of California - Davis. She is a cardiologist at U.C. Davis.

The groom graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He did his residency and oncology fellowship at Johns Hopkins. He does cancer research at Stanford University in Stanford, California.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple lives in the San Francisco Bay area.
