Monica Anne Brown and Rex Allen Meyr Jr. were married Nov. 8, 2014, at Fasig-Tipton Horse Farm in Lexington, Kentucky. Jeff Greer performed the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Russ and Patty Brown of Danville, Kentucky, and Rex and Pat Meyr of Jackson.
Matron of honor was Alli Lumpkin of Daphne, Alabama. Bridesmaids were Dana Brown of Danville, sister of the bride; Rachael Meyr of Jackson, sister of the groom; Ashton Tackett and Ashley Spurlin of Lexington; Erin Steffens of Jackson; and Kaitlyn Chamberlain of Orange County, California.
Matt Lang of Jackson was best man. Groomsmen were Austin Leimer, Alex Austin and Trae Smith of Jackson, Andrew Thigpen of Enid, Oklahoma, Barton Hammond of Lexington, and Jonathan Jones of Jackson. Ushers were Eric Brown of Danville, brother of the bride; Luke Clippard of Jackson, T.J. Schieber of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tyler Clarke of Lexington.
Flower girl was Layne Harris and ringbearer was Rodrick Perry. Layne is the daughter of Brian and Kara Harris of Georgetown, Kentucky. Rodrick is the son of Kyle and Callie Perry of Lexington, cousin of the groom.
The reception was held in the Fasig-Tipton Walking Arena.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 7 at Saul Good Restaurant and Pub in Lexington.
Monica received a degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky. She is employed at Montgomery Bank in Cape Girardeau.
Rex received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a master's degree in mining engineering from the University of Kentucky. He is employed at Heartland Materials LLC in Jackson.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Jackson.
