Jennifer Lynne Brothers and Benjamin Kyle Crass were united in marriage May 14, 2005, at Cape First. The Revs. Gary L. Brothers, father of the bride, and David M. Brown of Amarillo, Texas, performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Brent Anderson and the Cape First Worship Team. The bride and groom sang a duet.
Gary and Rose Brothers of Cape Girardeau are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Sheila Crass of Jackson and Terry and Martha Crass of Scott City.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Julie Brothers of St. Louis, sister of the bride. Matrons of honor were Suzanne King and Lisa Spratt of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Brandy Crass of Jackson, sister-in-law of the groom; Megan Bigham of Kansas City, Mo., and Leslie Pearson of Fayette, N.C.
Josh Berna of Silver Spring, Md., and Bryan King of Cape Girardeau were best men. Groomsmen were Aaron Spratt of Cape Girardeau; Dustin Crass of Jackson, brother of the groom; Jason Bachew and Blake Tiemann of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Allan Basham, Larry Dauer, Patrick Eades, Rocky Francis, Tom Lucy, Dean Schoonover and Phil Wellin.
Flower girls were Ashley and Hailey Crass of Jackson, nieces of the groom.
Lacie Eades of Scott City and Carol Heitman of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony. Servers were Sandy Simmons, Lisa Borders, Shelly Buckingham, Tammie Burton, Kathy Menz, Winnie Raines, Tenea Choate, Jen Wallace, Elizabeth Gregory, Johnna Cutrell and Shonda Hemphill. A dinner reception was held later at the Plaza Conference Center.
The groom's family hosted the rehearsal dinner May 13 at Drury Lodge.
Mrs. Crass is a graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in education from Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn., and a master's degree in teaching from Webster University in St. Louis. She is the children's ministry director at Cape First.
The groom is a graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in counseling psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. He is a staff pastor at Cape First.
After a wedding trip to the Mexican Riviera, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
