Nadia Virginia Boxx and Jonathan David Hoover were united in marriage Sept. 16, 2005, at Francine's Gardens. The Rev. Scott Moon performed the ceremony. Music was by Eric McGowen, saxophonist, and Kirk Miller's orchestra. Soloist was Linda Mahy.

The bride's honorary mother is Mary Burton of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. McQuay of Jackson and Joseph L. Hoover of Kennett, Mo.

The bride was presented in marriage by her brother, Jay Boxx of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Matron of honor was Amanda Lee of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the groom. Bridesmaids were Joanna Sides of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the groom, and Laura Hobbs of Poplar Bluff.

B.J. Patterson of Troy, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Joseph A. Hoover of Sedgewickville, Mo., brother of the groom; Charles Sides of Jackson, and Eric Ebaugh of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Joshua Lee, Jeremiah Lee, Lyman Mitten III, cousins of the groom, and Shane Shepard, all of Cape Girardeau.

Flower girls were Tatum Lee and Emma Steffans. Tatum is the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Lee and cousin of the groom. Emma is the daughter of Theresa Steffans of Poplar Bluff.

Julie McGowen attended the guest book.

A dinner and dance reception was held at Francine's. Servers were Gay Lee, Susan Mitten and Pamela McQuay, aunts of the groom; Brittney Lee, cousin of the groom; and Marsha McGowen.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 15 at Francine's. Servers were Ron and Vivian Bohnert.

Mrs. Hoover is a senior at Southeast Missouri State University, majoring in psychology. She is employed at Cedar Street.

The groom is a junior at Southeast. He is employed at Pagliai's Pizza and Pasta.

A wedding trip will be taken at a later date.

The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
