Amy Michelle Bowman and Scott Neal Smith were married Dec. 21, 2002, at Harmony Congregational Methodist Church in Marble Hill, Mo. The Rev. Bill Ross performed the ceremony. Pianists were Gayla Tripp of Jackson and Crystal Kaufman of Cape Girardeau. Kaufman was also soloist.

Parents of the couple are Rodney and Vickie Bowman of Cape Girardeau, and Donnie and Karen Smith of Millersville.

Matron of honor was Leanna Salvo Leimer of Jackson, sister of the bride.

Todd Peters of Marble Hill was best man. Ushers were Jeff Peters of Marble Hill; Tony Hafford and Ronnie Tackett of Cape Girardeau, both uncles of the bride.

Candlelighter was Tammy Peters of Marble Hill, cousin of the bride.

Anne Bowman of Maryland Heights, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride, attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the church. Servers were Doris Smothers of Gordonville and Faye Sides of Millersville, aunts of the groom, and Marcella Peters of Marble Hill.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Dec. 20 at Delmonico's in Jackson.

Mrs. Smith is pursuing a degree in nursing at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

The groom is employed by the city of Cape Girardeau in the engineering department.

After a wedding trip to Nashville and Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Jackson.
