Emily Marie Blattel of Cape Girardeau and Jared Brian Weiss of Scott City were married Nov. 21, 2015, at Pleasant Hill Church in Fruitland. The Rev. W. Michael Woods performed the ceremony. Heather Richardet and Mark Burger provided the music.
Emily is the daughter of Michael and Teresa Blattel of Cape Girardeau. Jared is the son of Brian Weiss of Cape Girardeau and Roger and Missy Buckner of Scott City.
Katie Blattel of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Samantha Brandon of St. Louis, friend of the bride; Tori Davis of Gordonville, friend of the bride; Lindsey Koch of Chaffee, Missouri, cousin of the groom; Tori Buckner of Scott City, sister of the groom; and Jessica Rataj of Sikeston, Missouri, friend of the bride.
The flower girl was Kolbie Koch, daughter of Kendall and Diana Koch of Friedheim, Missouri, and cousin of the groom.
Ringbearers were Jackson Heuring, son of Jon and Jenny Heuring of Scott City, friend of the groom; Colton Weiss of Scott City, son of the groom; and Collin Vazquez of Cape Girardeau, son of the bride.
The best man was Jordan Weiss of Scott City, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Brandon Hindman of Cape Girardeau, friend of the groom; Kendall Koch of Friedheim, cousin of the groom; Levi Buckner of Scott City, brother of the groom; John Pinkston of Scott City, friend of the groom; and Jamie Pinkston of Scott City, friend of the groom.
Ushers were Chris Ellis of Jackson, cousin of the groom, and Alex Stone of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.
The wedding reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City.
Emily is a 2007 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a cash management officer at Montgomery Bank in Sikeston.
Jared is a 2005 graduate of Scott City High School. He is owner/operator of Clean Cut Lawn Maintenance in Cape Girardeau.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple lives in Scott City.
