Immanuel Lutheran Church at Tilsit was the setting May 17, 2003, for the wedding of Michelle Dawn Birk and Brent Garrett Lichtenegger. The Rev. Robert Henrichs performed the ceremony. Organist was Lois Fehrmann of Jackson.

Parents of the couple are Brad and Saundra Birk and John and Donna Lichtenegger of Jackson.

Maid of honor was Megan Green of Jackson, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Traci Miller and Amanda Friese of Jackson; Leigh Lichtenegger of Denver, Colo., sister of the groom; and Rachael Carlton of Jackson.

Corey Ruesler of Jackson was best man. Groomsmen were Rick Fink, Daniel Statler, Drew Puls and Derek Birk, brother of the bride, all of Jackson. Ushers were Joey Trankler and Nick Panagos of Jackson.

Candlelighter was Kendal Green of Jackson, cousin of the bride.

Flower girl was Addison Puls, daughter of Traci Miller and Drew Puls. Ringbearer was Kaleb Birk, son of the bride.

Amanda Birk and Shelby Pease of Jackson, cousins of the bride, attended the guest book. Programs and rice bags were handed out by Sean Carr of Cape Girardeau and Skylar Pease of Jackson, cousins of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 16 at New Orleans Restaurant in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Lichtenegger is a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School. She is a preschool teacher.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Jackson High School. He is co-owner of Sterling Construction in Jackson.

After a wedding trip to Colorado, the couple is residing in Jackson.
