Birk-Holdman

The Church of God was the setting Nov. 30, 2002, for the wedding of Heather D. Birk and Brian E. Holdman. The Rev. Jim Cooper performed the ceremony. Pianist was Robyn Morton of Jackson, and soloist was Jim Cooper.

The bride is the daughter of Roy and Nancy Birk of Ann Arbor, Mich. The groom is the son of Ruth Ellen Holdman of Cape Girardeau, and the late Larry Holdman

Maid of honor was Lauri Lankheit of Cape Girardeau, and matron of honor was Shanna Strickland of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Amber Birk and Andrea Birk of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the bride.

Jason Strickland of Jackson and Johnny Guffey of Cape Girardeau were best men. Groomsmen were Chad Bradley of Park Hills, Mo., cousin of the groom, and Jamie Birk of St. Louis, brother of the bride. Ushers were Van Strickland of Cape Girardeau, and Kyle Tramposh of Springfield, Mo., son of Nancy Birk and stepbrother of the bride.

Candlelighter was Sophie Tramposh of Ann Arbor, daughter of Nancy Birk and stepsister of the bride.

Flower girl was Peyton Bradley, daughter of Chad and Debbie Bradley and cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Garrett Birk of Ann Arbor, son of Roy and Nancy Birk and brother of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Drury Lodge. Servers were Carol Schmidt, Donna Birk and Lynn Birk, all of Cape Girardeau and aunts of the bride.

The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 29 at Maple United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Holdman received a degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2002. She is a manufacturing supervisor at Magna-Tel Inc.

The groom received a degree in computer science in 2001. He is a computer programmer at Midwest Sterilization Corp.

The couple is residing in Jackson.
