Amy Marie Beussink and Paul Elliot Shearon were married Aug. 3, 2002, at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, Mo. The Rev. Bill Huggins performed the ceremony. Organist was Mary Jansen of Leopold, and vocalists were Erin Darter and Bryan Schmidt of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of the late James and Lydia Beussink of Leopold. The groom is the son of Alan and Ginger Shearon of Jackson.
Maid of honor was Danielle Beussink and matron of honor was Crystal Thele, both of Leopold and sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sara Ritter, Lisa Serandos, Sonya Jansen, Carrie Lesch and Cindy Eeftink.
Jon Shearon of Jackson was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Rob Langford, Jack Sanderson, Danny McCall, Nathan Huck, Shawn Bollinger and Greg Tallent. Ushers were Josh Adams, Matt Beussink, Andy Landewee and Tyson Bollinger.
Candlelighters were Kelsee Shearon of Jackson, sister of the groom, and Leslee Ricketts of Leopold.
Flower girl was Mackenzie Shearon, daughter of Jon Shearon and Michelle Kelly and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Garrett Thele, son of Jimmy and Crystal Thele and nephew of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Leopold.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 2 at their home.
Mrs. Shearon is a 1997 graduate of Leopold High School. She is an oral surgery assistant for Dr. Robert Ward.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Jackson High School, and is a senior at Southeast Missouri State University majoring in marketing. He is employed at Sears.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
