St. Mary's Cathedral was the setting April 25, 2009, for the wedding of Evelyn Leigh Beussink and Matthew Paul Martin. The Rev. Thomas Kiefer performed the ceremony. Eucharistic ministers were Dan and Andrew Williams, Jenny Nenninger and Deb Beussink.
Readers were Chad Beussink of Jackson and James Williams of Kirksville, Mo. Giftbearers were Steve and Deb Beussink, godparents of the bride.
Organist was Matt Palisch of Jackson, trumpeters were Dr. Marc Fulgham of Cape Girardeau and Scott Vangilder of Jackson. Vocalist was Alan Bruns of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the couple are Robert and Nanette Beussink Jr. and Larry and Harriet Martin, all of Jackson.
Man of honor was Jeremy Beussink of Carlisle, Pa. Bridesmaids were Jessica Mundell of Independence, Ky., Lynn Morgan and Megan Davis of St. Louis.
Patrick Martin of Cape Girardeau was his brother's best man. Other attendants were Joseph Myers of Fort Worth, Texas, Lori Statler and Jon Cole of St. Louis. Ushers were Amy Michel of St. Louis and Adam Rigdon of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Alicia Carver-Myers of Wentzville, Mo., and Barbara Griffith of St. Charles, Mo.
Flower girls were Payton Beussink and Kaitlyn Kupferer. Ringbearer was Tucker Myers. Payton is the daughter of Jeff and Michelle Beussink of Jackson. Kaitlyn is the daughter of David and Shannon Kupferer of Knoxville, Tenn. Tucker is the son of Joseph and Jenny Myers of Fort Worth.
Chelsey Rigdon and Courtney Beussink attended the guest book. Program attendants were Natalie Williams and Tori Long.
A dinner and dance reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson. Servers were Karen Rigdon, Lisa Beussink, Janice Long, Michelle Beussink, Misty Beussink and Jama Beussink, all of Jackson, and Marsha Williams of Cape Girardeau, aunts of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 24 at Port Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Martin is a counselor with Lutheran Family and Children's Services in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a teacher with Scott County School District in Benton, Mo.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
