Becker-Daugherty

Elizabeth Anne Becker and Dr. Robert Michael Daugherty exchanged vows June 29, 2007, on the beach in Destin, Fla. The Rev. Paul W. Kummer performed the ceremony. Cello and violin music was played.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Christine Becker of Jackson. Robert and Ruth Daugherty of Frohna, Mo., are parents of the groom.

Matron of honor was Jill King of Dexter, Mo., sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Julie Daugherty of Altenburg, Mo., sister-in-law of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Lauren Daugherty, daughter of the groom.

The groom chose his brother, Will Daugherty of Altenburg, as best man. Groomsman was the groom's father. Junior groomsman was Joel Daugherty, son of Will and Julie Daugherty and nephew of the groom.

Ringbearer was Evan Daugherty, son of Will and Julie Daugherty and nephew of the groom.

Megan Kuntze of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Staci Pike of Jackson attended the guest book.

The reception was held July 6 at Drury Lodge. Servers were Jennifer Mumper of Troy, Ill., Nichole Henderson of Jackson, and Tammy Cowell of Metropolis, Ill.

Mrs. Daugherty is a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in 2004 and a master of physical therapy in 2005, both from Maryville University in St. Louis. She is a home health physical therapist at the Lutheran Home.

The groom is a 1993 graduate of Woodland High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998. He is a 2002 graduate of Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago. He is a podiatrist and owner of Daugherty Foot and Ankle Clinic in Cape Girardeau.

The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
