Emily Roots Bealke and Ryan Wayne Parenteau were married July 21, 2007, at St. Anselm at the Abbey in St. Louis. The Rev. Gerard Garrison performed the ceremony. Organist was Dr. Andrzej Zahorski of St. Louis, and soloist was Gina Bishop of Laurel, Mont., sister of the groom.

Bible readings and prayers were given by Tara Morris and Aimee Gilbertson of Jackson, sisters of the groom, and Kristina Maguire of St. Louis.

Parents of the couple are Linn and Jenny Bealke of St. Louis, and Wayne and Rhonda Parenteau of St. Louis, formerly of Jackson.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Lisa Broadbent of Chicago. Bridesmaids were Kitty Nangle and Melinda Marglous of St. Louis, and Candice Stehno of New York, N.Y.

Nathan Dirnberger of St. Louis was best man. Groomsmen were Steve DeClue and Mike Crenshaw of Jackson, and Ben Bishop of Laurel, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Jason Morris of Jackson, brother-in-law of the groom; David and Jake Bealke of St. Louis, brothers of the bride.

Flower girl and ringbearer were Harper and Adam Bealke, children of David and Staci Bealke of St. Louis and niece and nephew of the bride.

Programs were handed out by Austin Keillor of Jackson, nephew of the groom.

The reception was held at St. Louis Country Club.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 20 at Romano's, with 35 guests attending.

Mrs. Parenteau received a bachelor of arts degree in East Asian studies from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., in 1999, and a master's degree in international management from Thunderbird University in Glendale, Ariz., in 2004. She is Isa Global marketing communications manager with Solutia Inc. in St. Louis.

The groom is a graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in recreational therapy and psychology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003. He is a certified recreational specialty therapist and counselor with St. Alexius Hospital in St. Louis.

After a cruise in the southern Caribbean, the couple resides in Kirkwood, Mo.
