Jodi D. Barks and John T. Wipfler exchanged wedding vows May 30, 2009, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony. Organist was Betty Ressel and vocalist was Sharon LeGrand, both of Kelso.
Parents of the couple are Jerry and Laura Barks of Lowndes, Mo., and Charlie and Susie Wipfler of Scott City.
Matron of honor was Lacey McClintock of Wappapello, Mo. Bridesmaids were LaCinda Moit of Zalma, Mo.; Dawn Barks of Lowndes, sister-in-law of the bride; and Gretchen Middleton of Vulcan, Mo., cousin of the bride.
Ryan LeGrand of Scott City was best man. Groomsmen were Keith Hamm and Adam Burger of Jackson, and Jason Bickings of Scott City.
Candlelighters were Wyatt Barks, nephew of the bride, and Christina Wipfler, niece of the groom. Wyatt is the son of Jeremy and Dawn Barks. Christina is the daughter of Phil and Mary Wipfler of Palmyra, Va.
Flower girls were Emily and Gracey Barks, nieces of the bride. Ringbearers were Dylan Barks, nephew of the bride, and Gavin Oldham, nephew of the groom. Emily, Gracey and Dylan are children of Jeremy and Dawn Barks. Gavin is the son of Chad and Emily Oldham of DeSoto, Mo.
Ashley Wipfler was guest book and program attendant. She is the daughter of Phil and Mary Wipfler and niece of the groom.
The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City. Servers were Terry Lutes, Mary Wipfler, and Pam Lutes.
Mrs. Wipfler is a second grade teacher with Leopold School District.
The groom is employed at Do It Best Corp.
The couple resides in Scott City.
