CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO--Saturday, Apr. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m., the Southeast Missouri Arts Council invites you to attend a lecture and workshop featuring Diane Scott, from the Kansas City organization Artist, INC, who is known for designing and managing innovative professional development programs for fine artists.

Scott currently works as an integral member of the Artist, INC team, which is a consortium of the Innovation Center, ArtsKC, and Charlotte Street Foundation, that works to provide Kansas City artists with services to master the business end of their art careers.

On Saturday, Scott will present a lecture entitled "What Works/ What Doesn't", which is the culmination of her years of experience in working with over 200 artists (from musicians, to writers, to painters, to filmmakers). During her presentation, Scott will discuss common behaviors and business practices that she has identified as being most helpful for those who desire to be successful artist entrepreneurs.
