If you have lunch at Millersville Attendance Center during Chat and Chew time, not only will you have a healthy lunch but you will enjoy some wonderful books. Parents volunteer to come to the school during lunch time approximately 6 times a year to read to small groups of students while they enjoy their lunch.
If the weather is nice, students and parents gather outside on blankets and picnic in style. Parent Coordinator, Kathy Childers, organizes the event on behalf of the faculty. This has become a favorite activity of the Millersville students. Millersville teachers value the activity for the added emphasis toward literacy and parent involvement.
