Firefighters are entering to attack fire that extended into the attic of the apartment building on West Cape Rock Drive on Monday morning. The combination of a plank ceiling in the living space and a plank floor in the attic slowed the effort so firefighters were withdrawn as a safety precaution and the fire was controlled from the exterior.
