Over sixty members of the Vandivort Family Reunion, in town for their annual meeting of the third-generation family farming corporation, visited Old Lorimer Cemetery on July 2nd. Leading the tour was Dr. Frank Nickell, Director of the Center for Regional History.

Dr. Nickell, Associate professor of History at SEMO, sketched vivid pictures of the lives of early settlers and enthralled his audience with their ghost tales and wonderful stories of romance and intrigue.

In gratitude for Dr. Nickell's outstanding presentation, and a desire to give back to the community, VPI announced the family has made a cash donation to continue restoration efforts at Old Lorimer Cemetery
