Last Saturday a person strolls into "We Seek the Unique Antique & Collectibles" shop located on Broadway in Cape.
With him he holds a little gray tin box. Upon opening the lid pulls out a old baseball and remarks. This signed baseball was handed down from my grandfather and hands the old baseball to me.
Being courteous, having seen many common signed baseballs before, I looked at the baseball and gasped.
Signed on this little artifact treasure was the authentic signature--Lou Gehrig--Wow, one of the greatest Yankee players ever!
Turning the baseball for better look, Oh my--signed by the Bambino too--the great Babe Ruth!!!
This baseball was signed by both Yankee greats, and the owner also had the ticket to that 1930 barnstorming game too--And to think its been sitting inside a little tin box for safe keeping all those years!
